Here's a short (~ 2 minute) snippet of Tom Brokaw interviewing Al Gore on the 20 July 2008 episode of Meet the Press. The occasion for the interview was Gore's call for a ten-year program to shift the U.S. entirely to non-carbon fuel sources for electric power. Note that, at the end, Gore cites the devastating effect of (bark) beetles on forest health due to increasing global temperatures.
