your home and Santa Fe, mileage or parking at your point of departure,
$50 toward ground transportation between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, and
your lodging.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
We expect that you will handle your own air and surface travel
arrangements. Please plan your trip to take advantage of the lowest coach fares available to you and the Saturday night stayover.
You will be reimbursed for your expenses based upon original receipts after
the workshop. Please keep your travel receipts for reimbursement purposes.
Reimbursement forms will be handed out at the workshop.
Skiing is available a 20 minute drive into the mountains from SFI at the
Santa Fe Ski Basin or 90 minutes
north at Taos Valley.
TRAVELLING TO SANTA FE
Air: The major airport connection to Santa Fe is Albuquerque,
New Mexico; approximately 60 miles from Santa Fe. Most major airlines fly
into Albuquerque. There is also a very small airport in Santa Fe that is
served by United Express from Denver (1-800-241-6522). It is always more
expensive to fly into Santa Fe rather than Albquerque. Please take advantage
of the lowest coach fares available to you.
For a more detailed list see the
airlines page.
Ground: You can reach downtown Santa Fe from the Albuquerque airport using one
of several bus services. See
directions
for more details and for car rental information.
DIRECTIONS
from the airports to Santa Fe and from the local hotels to SFI
are given on the
Find Us page.
SANTA FE
Santa Fe is a wonderful, small city with excellent cultural
opportunities and restaurants. We are at an altitude of 7,000 feet. In
January, temperatures will range from 20-50 degrees. For additional
information about Santa Fe, consult the Santa Fe Visitors Bureau.
