Attached is the python project.
The program can use more work, but it can produce poincare plots for single point or for arrays of points and 3D plots of phase space.
 
There is a PDF file, a Mathematica notebook with some additional exploration of the Henon-Heiles system and some plots (those that I used in the report)
 
I still could not make the Det(J) be 1 at the fixed point, and still very alarmed by it... please let me know what did I do wrong... it looked simple...
